Art Nest transforms into a Prehistoric Cave

For the last four weeks, on Thursday afternoons, our Adventures in Art Class has traveled through time to learn about Prehistoric Cave Art. The children in class created visual stories in the style of the Lascaux Cave Art, they learned about pictographs and petroglyphs, the tools used during this time, the way they lived and survived. We created mud paint, and using cardboard created a "cave" in the studio, where they could paint the walls. So much fun to learn about history and art this way! Enjoy the photos below of our adventures! Next week we begin a new series exploring Ancient Egyptian Art! If interested in signing up click here!

Also, we have a special class pass for October: buy four classes and get one free! Click here if interested in purchasing a pass!
